Spice
Proxmox supports outputting video and sound from guests using the Spice protocol.
To connect, a Spice client needs to be installed.
On the Proxmox web UI, click on console after starting the VM. This opens a url which should open the Spice client with your VM displayed.
There isn’t a built-in way of retrieving this spice url from the command line, hence these projects for doing so:
- spicextract Python package
- Shell script to Securely launch Proxmox VM’s in Spice Viewer from the command line
Low Latency Audio
For Windows guests, use Remote Desktop
For Linux guests, Spice might work. Otherwise, investigate PulseAudio network forwarding
